Roma και Λάνθιμος κυριάρχησαν στα Bafta

Το βράδυ της Κυριακής απονεμήθηκαν τα βραβεία του βρετανικού κινηματογράφου (BAFTA) με το Favourite να παίρνει τα περισσότερα βραβεία, επτά στο σύνολο. Οι σημαντικότερες διακρίσεις της βραδιάς πήγαν στο Roma, που πήρε το βραβείο καλύτερης ταινίας και αυτό της σκηνοθεσίας για τον Αλφόνσο Κουαρόν.
H ταινία του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου, αναδείχθηκε καλύτερη βρετανική ταινία ενώ πήρε και τα βραβεία Α’ και Β’ γυναικείου ρόλου για την Ολίβια Κόλμαν και τη Ρέιτσελ Βάις αντίστοιχα αλλά και αυτά του καλύτερου πρωτότυπου σεναρίου, καλλιτεχνικής διεύθυνσης, κοστουμιών, μακιγιάζ και κομμώσεων.
Ο Ραμί Μάλεκ για το Bohemian Rhapsody πήρε το βραβείο Α΄ Ανδρικού ρόλου.
