Θρίαμβος για το Oppenheimer στα Oscar
Το Oppenheimer του Κρίστοφερ Νόλαν, θριάμβευσε όπως αναμενόταν στα Όσκαρ που απονεμήθηκαν τα ξημερώματα της Δευτέρας. Πήρε συνολικά επτά βραβεία, ανάμεσα τους φυσικά αυτό για την καλύτερη ταινία αλλά και τη σκηνοθεσία (το πρώτο βραβείο του Νόλαν στην καριέρα του).
Ο Cillian Murphy και ο Robert Downey Jr. πήραν τα βραβεία πρώτου και δεύτερου ανδρικού ρόλου, ενώ η ταινία βραβεύθηκε επίσης για τη φωτογραφία, το μοντάζ και το original score.
H μεγάλη έκπληξη έγινε στις γυναίκες, αφού η Emma Stone πήρε το βραβείο πρώτου ρόλου για το Poor Things, επικρατώντας της Lily Gladstone για το Killers of the Flower Moon που ήταν το μεγάλο φαβορί, με βάση τις νίκες της στα υπόλοιπα βραβεία της σεζόν. Η Da’Vine Joy Randolph ήταν η νικήτρια στον δεύτερο γυναικείο ρόλο για την ερμηνεία της στο The Holdovers.
H Billie Eilish πήρε ξανά το όσκαρ καλύτερου τραγουδιού για το What Was i Made For? δύο χρόνια μετά την πρώτη της νίκη για το No Time To Die, οι Justine Triet και Arthur Harari βραβεύθηκαν με όσκαρ πρωτότυπου σεναρίου για το Anatomy of a Fall και ο Cord Jefferson για το American Fiction πήρε αυτό για το διασκευασμένο σενάριο.
